New Revenue Unit to improve relations with Local Government
The N.C. Department of Revenue has created a new Local Government division to improve relationships with town, city and county government administrations. The new division will provide increased communication, service and support to local governments throughout the state.
“Our new division will streamline the relationships we have with governments across the state and ultimately help local governments and NCDOR assess and collect taxes more effectively,” said David Hoyle, secretary of revenue.
The division provides a simplified, single point of contact for local government business such as property taxes, deeds, and distributions, as well as audits. Employees will be able to assist with documents, processing and other issues specific to local governments.
