DavenportLawrence recently announced expansion of its Economic Development Advisory Services 

 

DavenportLawrence, a North Carolina based local government advisory firm announces today the expansion of its economic advisory services with the appointment of longtime economic development executive Rodger Sauls to the firm’s executive leadership team as Economic Development Services Director. 

As a component of DavenportLawrence’s mission to assist municipal and county governments in improving their financial condition, the firm has included economic development and community marketing services to its core service offerings to provide clients an alternative commerce development model by providing access to seasoned economic development professionals backed by a diverse team of skilled local government advisors.  Mr. Andy Honeycutt, Managing Director of DavenportLawrence, shared his enthusiasm of the opportunities now available to local governments by saying, “the economic reality is requiring local governments of all sizes to rethink their approach to service capacities.  Our firm is excited about the ability to lead innovation in local government public/private partnerships with the announcement that Rodger Sauls will lead this new and creative approach as an alternative to the typical economic development model.”  DavenportLawrence is pleased to offer economic development services to its expanding territory of clients and provides support to local governments that is scalable and cost effective. 

Mr. Sauls joins the DavenportLawrence team after having served as Corporate Director for Business Development with Yonkers Industries and previously served for more than 18 years as an Economic Development Executive with Progress Energy focused on industry recruitment, expansion, and retention.  Rodger is a 20-year member of the North Carolina Economic Development Association and currently serves on the Association’s Board of Directors.
